Accounting Assistant – Accounts Receivable
Solomon Coatings Ltd. has a great opportunity within its administrative team for an Accounting Assistant - Accounts Receivable. Primary responsibilities include day to day credit related processes assisting the Controller in reducing overall credit risk.
These duties encompass:
- First point of contact for customer accounts.
- Review and verify credit applications.
- Maintain and update customer accounts.
- Distribution of customer monthly statements.
This position will also work closely with accounts payable in which both positions will perform backup and work load support.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of two (2) years directly related accounts receivable experience coupled with experience and basic knowledge in accounts payable.
- Post secondary education in the accounting field by a recognized educational institution.
- Strong computer skills, working knowledge in Microsoft office products, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with computerized accounting systems; Quick Books is an asset.
- Effective communication skills, experience dealing with customers in a professional and respectful manner.
- Ability to process paper flow accurately and efficiently.
